Our Journey Through Time

From humble beginnings to global impact - the story of OASK's evolution and growth.

The Beginning

OASK was founded by Mr. Sanaullah Alizai, two humanitarian workers who witnessed firsthand how lack of access to education and healthcare perpetuated cycles of poverty in rural communities.

Starting with a small team of volunteers, they began providing basic literacy classes and health education in remote villages.

2017

First Major Project

Launched our first comprehensive Food Security and CFW project in Farah, Afghanistan, combining education, healthcare, and livelihood training. The success of this integrated approach became our model for future programs.

Reached 5,000 people in the first year alone.

2018

Expansion Across Afghanistan

Expanded operations to Nimruz province. Developed our signature "Community Empowerment Framework" & "Food Security" that emphasized local ownership and capacity building.

Partnered with local organizations to ensure cultural appropriateness and sustainability.

2019

Nimruz districts Operations Begin

Extended our reach to Nimruz districts with programs in kang and Khashrod and Delaram, focusing on Food SeDurity and Nutrition and maternal healthcare. Developed specialized expertise in post-disaster reconstruction and resilience building.

Reached milestone of 300,00 lives impacted.

2020

National Recognition

Received the Humanitarian Excellence Award for our innovative approach to community development. Published our first impact assessment report showing 85% program success rate.

Expanded to Afghanistan provinces with programs in Nangarhar and Herat

2021

Pandemic Response & Growth

Rapidly adapted programs to address COVID-19 challenges while maintaining core services. Expanded emergency response capabilities and developed new health protocols for all operations.

Grew to operate in 8 provinces across three continents.

2021

Present Day

Delivered emergency support to over 20,000 IDP and returnee families in 3 provinces. Conducted agriculture training for 600+ farmers, introducing sustainable irrigation and composting.

Recognized as a leading innovator in humanitarian work.
